What is it about?

TheUnited World Organization e.V. is a non-profit fundraising organization from Cologne that was founded in 2014 and is now celebrating its 9th birthday. We are currently active in Germany, Ukraine, India and the Philippines. During the evening we not only offer youcultural program, but also provide information about our previous work and upcoming projects. The United World Organization differs from large aid organizations in that it:

  • 100% volunteer commitment

  • Help also for individual cases

  • 100% of the money donated goes to the project you want

What is the United World Organization doing in the different countries?

In Germany we focus on integrative projects in which we give refugees insight into the local culture through various activities and thusInternational understandingwant to contribute. At the same time, we also help with administrative procedures and translations. We also include various events for refugees with which we want to make their current living situation more bearable. For example, at the beginning of the year we organized a Christmas party with gifts for Ukrainian children whose families were torn apart.

In Ukraine we help through donations in kind such as food and power generators, aid transport and urgently needed itemsmedical support. We are also supporting the expansion of an emergency shelter with integrated storage space at our partners in Staryj Sambir, which will later serve as a cultural meeting and reconciliation center after the war.

In India we have developed a sponsorship program that helps children from the slumsbetter educational opportunities offers. Upon presentation of school fee and tutoring certificates, we support families in their efforts to offer their children a better future. During our annual visit, we also organize a painting competition and an excursion that allows the children to be children for a day without any worries.

In the Philippines we have dedicated ourselves, among other things, to the topic of sport. We support children and young adults in practicing their favorite sport, basketball. We sponsor clothing for this purpose, but in the long term we would also like to provide a whole basketball court because the kids have to play on the street. We also have an individual case here that is particularly close to our hearts: little Jeff is 4 years old and needs oneOpen heart surgery.

Help eachother

Helping and supporting each other – that is,what defines a society. The UWO, as the United World Organization e.V. calls itself for short, has made this its principle. Of course we can't save the world, especially since we're not a big organization yet. But we can make them a little bit better.

Whether you want to support the UWO in general or a specific project is entirely up to you. Even if you would like to get to know us better, you are welcome.

What program is offered?

Texts and testimonials from refugees read by professional actors, classical piano music by an award-winning pianist, and music and singing byinternational musicians We look forward to offering you an exciting evening.
